"Yo hago estas obras para combatir y rectificar los males que me ha tocado recibir, y al hacerlo cambio los eventos de una manera que me parezca apropiada… Yo escojo crear obras de arte con textiles, de manera que el diálogo entre trabajar con técnicas digitales y una variedad de técnicas artesanales, como bordado, teñido y serigrafía, le da a las obras una cualidad tangible gracias a las texturas que contribuyen a crear una forma visual que es atractiva y se rehusa a caer en lo monótono. La impresión digital en tela ha alimentado intensamente mi práctica artística y me ha permitido trabajar en una escala que hubiera sido imposible si tan sólo hubiera usado procesos manuales; esto me ha dado oportunidad de construir un alcance en mi trabajo, con un sentido de urgencia e intensidad".

"I make these works in order to battle and rectify the wrongs that I have been dealt so thereby changing the events in a manner I see fit… I choose to create artworks in textiles as the exchange between working with digital processes and a variety of fabric techniques such as embroidery, dyeing and screen-printing gives the works a tangible quality, as the textures contribute to form a visual that is arresting and refuses to fall back into monotony. Digitally printing onto fabric has hugely informed my artistic practice and allowed me to work on a scale unfathomable purely by only using manual processes; it has given me the ability to build scope into my work with urgency and a sense of intensity".
